Finance Manager (6-Month Contract)

An insurance business in Hong Kong looking for an experienced Finance Manager
to join us on an initial 6-month contract
with a view to going permanent.
This is a hands-on role
suited to someone who enjoys building finance operations from the ground up and working closely with the business to put robust processes and reporting in place.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations and statutory reporting during a critical growth phase. The role requires practical, implementation-level experience rather than purely oversight.
Key responsibilities include:

Hands-on support with finance operations and month-end close

Implementation and ongoing use of SUN Systems ledgers, including RBC and IFRS 17 reporting

Supporting regulatory and management reporting requirements

Assisting with the development and improvement of finance processes and controls

Working closely with internal stakeholders to establish scalable finance practices
Key Requirements

Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar hands-on role
within insurance or financial services

Direct experience implementing and working with SUN Systems, including RBC and IFRS 17

Comfortable operating in a start-up or fast-changing environment

Proactive, detail-oriented and willing to roll up sleeves

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
