About the Company

Our client is an established multinational organisation operating within the luxury consumer retail industry, with a strong presence in Singapore.

As part of its Finance team, the company is looking for an experienced Accountant to support its Singapore operations. The role offers broad exposure across general accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage General Ledger activities through to Trial Balance, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
  • Prepare treasury reporting packages and support cash flow management.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, inventory reports and Notes to the Accounts.
  • Prepare quarterly Cash Flow Statements and Balance Sheet reporting.
  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly GST submissions.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.
  • Prepare ad-hoc management and statutory/government reports as required.
  • Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and provide the necessary information for corporate tax preparation.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Perform intercompany balance reconciliations and coordinate intercompany confirmations during month-end closing.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and other finance-related projects as required.

Key Requirements & Competencies

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to full-set accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting, month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Experience in GST and corporate tax preparation will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP/accounting systems is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player with good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on and accountable, with a strong can-do attitude.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
