API Engineer - Contract- 12 months- 2k$- Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Work with APIs, databases and data flows to support integration between different systems.
• Build and maintain SQL queries and database-related processes.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs / web services where required.
• Support data mapping, transformation and validation across systems.
• Troubleshoot API, database and integration issues.
• Work with developers and technical teams on integration and API-related projects.
• Support and troubleshoot applications and services running on AWS/EKS.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in API Engineering, Backend Engineering, Integration Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP and system integration.
• Experience with a programming language such as Java, Python, Go, C# or similar.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, preferably EKS/Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud-based applications and services.
• Understanding of Docker and microservices.
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger is preferred.
• Exposure to Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills.
