About the Role
We are partnering with a leading retail client to hire an Assistant HR Manager (Generalist). This is a great opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys a broad generalist role covering HR operations, employee lifecycle management, payroll review, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and employee records.
- Review and validate payroll processed by an external payroll vendor, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support annual compensation reviews, benefits administration, and HR reporting.
- Partner with managers on recruitment, performance management, and employee relations matters.
- Contribute to employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure HR practices are compliant with local employment legislation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 5–7 years of HR generalist experience, with exposure to payroll review and vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
