Assistant HSE Manager

Location: Ayutthaya, Thailand

Industry: FMCG Manufacturing

The Assistant HSE Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a world-class safety culture within our Ayutthaya manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for implementing HSE management systems, ensuring 100% legal compliance, and driving "Zero Harm" initiatives across high-speed production lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Support the HSE Manager in developing and executing safety strategies tailored to FMCG production environments.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure the site meets all Thai Department of Labour and Industry regulations, as well as international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) for automated machinery, chemical handling, and warehouse logistics.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for any near-misses or accidents and implement robust corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Environmental Stewardship: Manage waste systems, wastewater treatment compliance, and energy-saving initiatives to meet corporate sustainability goals.
  • Training & Engagement: Design and deliver engaging HSE training for both permanent staff and contractors to foster a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of HSE experience in a FMCG Manufacturing environment (Food, Beverage, or Personal Care).
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related Engineering field.
  • Certification: Must hold a Professional Safety Officer license(JPR) as per Thai law.
  • Skills:* Strong knowledge of FMCG standards (GMP, HACCP, or FSMS).
    • Proven ability to manage wastewater and industrial waste systems.
    • Excellent leadership skills with a "boots-on-the-ground" approach.
  • Language: Fluency in Thai; Good command of English (written and spoken) is preferred for corporate reporting.
  • Mobility: Must be able to work full-time at our plant in Ayutthaya.
