Role Overview

Our client is a high-growth, technology-driven trading firm specializing in automated market-making and low-latency execution. They are seeking a hands-on builder to take full ownership of their core computing and data systems. This is a unique "player-coach" opportunity: the successful candidate will remain deeply technical while being groomed to lead and scale the infrastructure team as the firm expands.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Performant Systems: Continuously research and implement cutting-edge solutions for high-performance computing to maintain a competitive advantage in execution speed.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Simulation: Lead the end-to-end management and optimizatio. Run complex simulations and ensure data systems maintain high availability for production trading.
• Efficiency & Cost Optimization: Proactively identify bottlenecks and find innovative ways to reduce cloud costs without sacrificing performance.
• AI & Automation: Lead the automation of system administration and explore ways to integrate AI/latest developments into infrastructure management.
• Future Leadership: Mentor team members and establish best practices for infrastructure reliability, monitoring, and software management.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science (or a related technical discipline) and have 3–5 years of industry experience in financial services.
• You are a "Technical Builder" who is most at home in a terminal. Extensive experience managing, tuning, and automating Linux systems is a non-negotiable requirement.
• You have hands-on experience managing AWS EC2 and data-heavy cloud environments; AWS or other cloud certifications are a significant plus.
• You possess a proven ability to automate tasks on Linux to improve operational efficiency and are hungry to learn about the latest developments in computing and data management.
• You are a self-motivated individual who thrives in a flat structure and wants to grow into a Team Lead role.
• You possess strong-level English fluency and can clearly explain complex technical trade-offs to both traders and researchers.
