Role Overview
Our client is looking for a high-caliber Infrastructure specialist to own the architectural evolution and daily operations of a high-frequency trading (HFT) platform. You will manage a hybrid environment, bridging on-prem Linux servers with scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, with a heavy focus on automation and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Ownership:
Lead the design and maintenance of infrastructure supporting rapid storage, HFT platform analysis, and low-latency trading.
- Hybrid Management:
Manage both on-prem Linux server configurations and AWS cloud compute to ensure 24/7 high availability.
- Cloud Orchestration & Cost Control:
Manage EKS
environments and drive specific cost-optimization strategies for data transfer
and storage.
- Automation:
Automate development environment setups, system administration, and routine Linux tasks to eliminate manual intervention.
- Monitoring:
Oversee production trading and network infrastructure to maintain peak performance and stability.
Technical Profile
- Experience:
3-5 years of industry experience in a Linux-heavy environment.
- Cloud Expertise:
Proven track record managing AWS computing and data systems. AWS certifications
and experience with EKS
are highly preferred.
- Linux Mastery:
Strong background in Linux system administration and automation. Linux certifications are a plus.
- HFT Context:
Ability to manage high-pressure trading infrastructure and optimize for high-speed data transfer.
- Education:
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
