Company / Role Overview
Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced Change Lead to support a large-scale, multi-year transformation programme within its payments and transaction banking business. The role will focus on delivering client-impacting change across areas including client connectivity, servicing, operational processes and migration activities. Working across business, operations, technology, product and control functions, the successful candidate will take ownership of complex workstreams from planning and impact assessment through implementation, cutover and transition into business-as-usual operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned change workstreams, managing milestones, dependencies, critical paths and overall execution through implementation and stabilisation.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, RAID logs, decision records, change controls and governance reporting, ensuring risks and issues are escalated with clear recommendations and mitigation options.
- Coordinate assessments of current and future-state impacts across payments channels, client connectivity arrangements, digital services, operational processes and supporting technology.
- Translate business and operational impacts into executable delivery plans covering sequencing, dependencies, implementation readiness and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate client-impacting documentation and change activities, including communications, onboarding-related materials, contractual updates and other documentation required to support migration or legal-entity changes.
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Operations, Product and other control stakeholders to secure required approvals and maintain clear, audit-ready documentation.
- Support client and stakeholder engagement where required, partnering with relationship, implementation, connectivity and servicing teams to ensure changes are communicated, tracked and delivered with minimal client disruption.
- Coordinate testing, implementation readiness, cutover planning, runbooks, hypercare and transition into BAU, including monitoring post-implementation stability and resolving outstanding issues.
Job Requirements
- Approximately 5–7+ years of relevant project management or change delivery experience, ideally within banking or another regulated financial services environment.
- Strong hands-on experience managing complex cross-functional projects, including planning, governance, RAID management, dependency tracking, change control and senior stakeholder reporting.
- Experience within payments, transaction banking or cash management is highly preferred, particularly where the role involved client-facing or operational change.
- Good understanding of corporate banking client environments and how businesses interact with banking services; experience from a corporate treasury environment may also be relevant.
- Exposure to client connectivity or payments channels such as host-to-host arrangements, file-based connectivity, APIs, digital banking channels or SWIFT-related services would be advantageous.
- Experience coordinating client migrations, client communications, documentation, implementation or servicing-related change would be highly beneficial.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across Business, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Risk functions, including multi-location teams.
- A recognised project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification would be advantageous but is not essential where equivalent delivery experience can be demonstrated.
