Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst
to join our Group Internal Audit
team. In this role, you will leverage data analytics to enhance audit coverage, support risk assessment, and provide insights into compliance and control effectiveness across financial and insurance operations. This is a high-visibility role with opportunities to work across various business units and influence enterprise-wide audit strategy through data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal auditors to design and implement data analytics solutions that support audit and compliance objectives.
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets using SQL
and Python
to identify anomalies, patterns, and trends.
- Automate audit tests and support continuous auditing and monitoring initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and reports to present audit findings and KPIs to senior stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of data models for risk assessment, fraud detection, and process optimization.
- Contribute to audit planning by analyzing historical data and providing data-driven insights.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience
in data analysis, preferably within internal audit, compliance, or risk functions.
- Strong industry knowledge in financial services and/or insurance.
- Proficiency in Python(Pandas, NumPy, etc.) for data analysis and scripting.
- Strong experience in SQL
for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with audit standards and frameworks (e.g., SOX, COSO, Basel, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience working in a Group Audit or Group Compliance
function within a financial institution
or insurance group.
- Knowledge of process mining or audit-specific analytics tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA) is an advantage.
