Data Engineer- Hybrid- Contract- 4500 USD P/M

Job Description

• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers toward effective technical solutions to address their data challenges.

• Communicate the what, why, and how of proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Design, develop, test, and monitor distributed data processing pipelines within modern big data environments.

• Transform diverse datasets into high-quality, scalable, reproducible, and maintainable data products.

• Collaborate closely with Architects, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists to deliver robust data solutions.

• Understand the needs of various data producers and consumers, ensuring data services meet business requirements.

• Deliver projects using Agile methodologies, building iteratively to generate value early and frequently.

• Stay technically up to date and continuously learn new tools, concepts, and technologies.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients onsite, in the office, or remotely.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining data products for data consumers.

• Understanding of data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization concepts.

• Experience with modern data architectures (e.g., Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Warehouse, streaming, batch processing).

• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with big data infrastructure and large-scale data processing concepts.

• Experience handling structured and unstructured data (text, tabular, graph, time-series, geospatial, image, etc.).

• Working knowledge of containerisation and cloud environments (public and private).

• Understanding of information security and data governance principles.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python, with solid SQL proficiency.

• Experience delivering high-quality projects within deadlines, ideally in client-facing environments.
