The Company
A high-growth multinational industrial conglomerate with a significant global footprint. This organization is a leader in professional-grade equipment and consumer tools, currently expanding its regional tech hub in Asia.

The Role
Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to develop and maintain their regional Data Platform. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building the mechanisms that collect, integrate, and transform data into actionable business solutions.

Key Responsibilities (Aligned):

• Pipeline Construction: Build and monitor robust data pipelines and develop custom scripts to refine data.
• Mechanism Development: Develop technical solutions to collect, integrate, protect, and arrange data for delivery.
• Business Support: Collaborate with business users to enhance existing reporting tools and provide timely solutions based on requirement specs.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze results and resolve operational issues.
• Maintenance: Provide ongoing platform support and problem investigation.
• Technical Documentation: Create flowcharts, diagrams, and clear code comments to serve as reference guides for the team.
• Site Engagement: Occasional travel to advanced manufacturing facilities to support on-site data initiatives.

General Requirements:

• Experience: 2–4 years in data engineering projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or a related field.
• Soft Skills: Independent self-starter; ability to communicate technical visions and write detailed design documents.
• Language: Fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Technical Skillset:

• Platforms: Cloud Data Platform solutions (certifications are a plus).
• Development: Proficiency in Python or Java; experience as a SQL or Oracle DB Developer.
• Core Concepts: Solid understanding of ETL processes, data asset maintenance, and general data modeling.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in AI/Machine Learning projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing domain or process engineering concepts.
