Equity Research Analyst / Associate (6-month Contract)

Our client in financial services is hiring an Equity Research Analyst / Associate (6-month maternity cover).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and data analysis to develop hypotheses, analyze results, and generate insights.
• Build and maintain earnings and valuation models leveraging skills in accounting, finance, and economics (Excel proficiency required).
• Track, analyze, and publish high-frequency data in a timely manner.
• Gather and interpret primary and secondary research data; collaborate with team members to enhance reports and publications.
• Stay current with industry and macroeconomic trends affecting markets under coverage.
• Assist in preparing analyst marketing strategies and materials.
• Attend corporate calls and generate industry insights.
• Present findings clearly and collaborate with colleagues to integrate insights into analyst reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, etc.) is a plus.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience in equity research, investment analysis, or accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and valuation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and work in unstructured situations.
• Fluent in English (reading and writing).
• High attention to detail, strong initiative, and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
