As the Head of Tech Strategy, you will be the connective tissue between our specialized engineering domains and our overarching business ambitions. You aren't just managing a roadmap; you are responsible for synthesizing individual strategies—from Infrastructure and Data to Product Engineering and Security—into a s ingle, cohesive technological narrative.
Your goal is to ensure that our technology isn't just a collection of high-performing silos, but a unified engine that drives the company’s competitive advantage.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Synthesis & Integration
- The Unified Blueprint: Distill complex strategies from various tech pillars (Cloud, Data/AI, DevOps, Security) into a single, cohesive vision that is easily understood by both the Board and the engineering org.
- Cross-Pillar Alignment: Identify dependencies and resolve contradictions between different department roadmaps to ensure the tech stack scales harmoniously.
- Architectural Cohesion: Partner with the CTO and Lead Architects to ensure individual pillar decisions (e.g., "Build vs. Buy" in Data) align with the long-term enterprise vision.
2. Business-Tech Bridge
- Value Translation: Articulate how technical debt reduction, infrastructure modernization, and R&D efforts translate directly into business KPIs and ROI.
- Strategic Planning: Lead the annual and quarterly technical planning cycles, ensuring budget allocation reflects the priorities of the holistic strategy.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends (GenAI, Edge Computing, etc.) to determine how and when these should be integrated into the overarching strategy.
3. Governance & Execution
- Performance Metrics: Establish a unified framework for measuring the "health" of the tech strategy, moving beyond siloed metrics to holistic outcomes.
- Strategic Communication: Act as the primary storyteller for the tech organization, producing white papers, strategy decks, and internal comms that align the workforce.
Experience: 10+ years in technology leadership, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional technical programs.
Systems Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture" and understand how a change in one pillar (e.g., Security) impacts the velocity of another (e.g., Product).
Communication: Exceptional ability to narrate complex technical concepts into a compelling business case for non-technical stakeholders.
Strategic Frameworks: Proficiency in frameworks like Wardley Mapping, McKinsey 7S, or OKRs to drive organizational alignment.
Additional Advantage: Ideally coming from Consulting environments or Strategy Consulting background
