Our client is a leading organisation within the healthcare industry, committed to developing a capable, engaged, and resilient workforce. The Manager, Learning & Development & Engagement is responsible for driving organisation-wide learning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives. This role partners closely with business leaders and HR stakeholders to build a strong learning culture, support talent sustainability, and enhance workforce engagement and wellbeing in alignment with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements, and healthcare industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development (L&D)
- Develop and implement comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned to organisational goals, national frameworks, and healthcare industry standards and best practices.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring effective utilisation, data accuracy, and user engagement.
- Conduct Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) in partnership with Department Heads and key stakeholders to identify capability gaps and translate them into structured training plans.
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end training programmes, including internal, external, and e-learning initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations where applicable.
- Design and deliver in-house programmes such as employee orientation, onboarding, and core capability training.
- Drive adoption of e-learning by monitoring completion rates, motivating learners, managing system administration, and tracking learning outcomes.
- Prepare and present training plans, progress updates, and learning analytics to internal stakeholders.
- Manage pre- and post-training administration, including registrations, grant applications, budget tracking, finance processes, training records, evaluations, and compliance reporting.
- Maintain accurate training documentation, digital records, and shared department repositories.
- Promote learning initiatives through internal communication channels such as newsletters and digital platforms.
Talent Management
- Design and implement career progression and succession planning frameworks to support internal mobility, reskilling, and talent retention within a healthcare workforce environment.
- Define criteria and methodologies to identify, assess, and develop high-potential and critical talents across clinical, corporate, and operational functions.
- Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to address short- to long-term talent needs through targeted development and engagement strategies.
- Identify talent gaps and recommend interventions to strengthen bench strength and workforce readiness.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines through engagement with high-performing employees, educational institutions, recruitment partners, and employee referral networks to support employer branding efforts.
Employee Engagement & Wellbeing
- Design and execute employee engagement programmes aimed at strengthening engagement, collaboration, and productivity in a healthcare setting.
- Promote workplace wellbeing initiatives that support mental health, resilience, and sustainable performance.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners to establish and implement a workplace wellbeing framework that enhances employee experience, satisfaction, and retention.
- Prepare staff communications, engagement reports, and management updates related to learning, talent, and engagement initiatives.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned in support of HR and organisational objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organisational Psychology, or other relevant disciplines from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or related HR functions; experience within the healthcare or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Hands-on experience managing Learning Management Systems; familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors and virtual/e-learning platforms is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
