Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 (M365) Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and enterprise-scale delivery of M365 services across the organization. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with the ability to drive product delivery, manage stakeholders, and ensure regulatory and operational compliance across regions.

This position will play a key role in supporting enterprise collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive) and driving strategic initiatives such as cloud adoption, M365 rollout, and Copilot enablement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise M365 Platform Engineering

  • Design, implement, and manage the Microsoft 365 environment, including:
    • Exchange Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive for Business
  • Ensure platform stability, scalability, and performance across global deployments
  • Develop and maintain architecture standards, runbooks, and operational procedures

2. Product Delivery & Program Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of M365 initiatives (e.g., tenant rollout, feature deployment, upgrades)
  • Drive execution across:
    • Regional/global stakeholders
    • Infrastructure, security, and compliance teams
  • Manage delivery timelines, risks, dependencies, and communications
  • Support enterprise programs such as cloud adoption and collaboration transformation

3. Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure M365 services comply with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements
  • Implement and manage:
    • Data protection (DLP, retention, eDiscovery)
    • Identity & access (Azure AD / Entra ID)
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to address regional regulatory requirements (APAC focus)

4. Operational Excellence & Support

  • Provide L3 engineering support and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Define and track SLAs, KPIs, and service health metrics
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation (PowerShell, scripting)
  • Drive continuous improvement in platform stability and user experience

5. Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Engage with senior stakeholders, business users, and technology teams
  • Translate technical solutions into business outcomes and executive updates
  • Lead discussions with vendors (e.g., Microsoft, partners) for product enhancements and issue resolution

6. Innovation & Roadmap Development

  • Evaluate and recommend new M365 capabilities (e.g., Copilot, automation, AI features)
  • Define and drive roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap and emerging features

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 / Office 365 engineering
  • Proven track record in enterprise-scale deployment and delivery
  • Experience working in regulated environments(e.g., banking, finance, compliance-heavy industries)

Technical Skills

  • Deep expertise in:
    • Microsoft Teams (voice/video, governance)
    • Exchange Online (mail flow, security)
    • SharePoint Online & OneDrive
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Azure AD / Entra ID
    • Security & Compliance (DLP, retention, audit, eDiscovery)
  • Scripting/automation:
    • PowerShell
  • Familiarity with:
    • M365 Copilot / AI capabilities
    • Integration with enterprise systems

Soft Skills

  • Strong delivery ownership mindset(not just support)
  • Ability to operate in a global, matrix organization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferable to have Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, SC-300, SC-400)
  • Experience with large-scale migration or transformation programs
  • Exposure to APAC regulatory environments
