About the company

This organization is a global leader in the industrial, sustainability and agricultural solutions space, with a strong presence across Southeast Asia and beyond. The Singapore office functions as a key regional hub, overseeing a wide scope of operations including Sales & Marketing, and strategic partnerships. With a strong focus on growth, people, and sustainability, the company is looking to expand its team with experienced professionals who thrive in dynamic, hands-on environments.

About the role

We are hiring a Senior HR Manager to lead all people-related initiatives across Singapore, Southeast Asia, and Japan. This role would be ideal for someone who thrives in a start-up-like environment, who enjoys the lifecycle of building, stabilizing and growing together with the business. You’ll be responsible for setting up foundational HR processes while supporting day-to-day operational needs. The role spans recruitment, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and compliance, while also overseeing general office administration to ensure smooth daily operations. This is a highly hands-on position, requiring someone who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution, and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get things done in a lean, fast-growing regional setup.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of HR responsibilities — from recruitment, onboarding, and performance management to compensation, policy development, employee engagement, and compliance across Singapore, SEA, and Japan. You’ll work closely with leadership to shape HR strategies and set up scalable processes, while also managing the day-to-day operational aspects of a lean regional office. This includes supporting general office administration such as vendor coordination, facilities oversight, basic finance liaison, and ensuring the workplace runs smoothly. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to both business and employees, helping to shape a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment.

What we’ll like to see in you

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional with 12–15 years of regional experience, ideally gained in regional offices set-up. You should have a strong grasp of employment laws across Singapore and knowledge in Southeast Asia, including Japan, and be comfortable balancing both strategic and hands-on HR responsibilities. A proven ability to set up HR frameworks, policies, and processes from scratch is essential, along with strong stakeholder management skills and comfort operating in lean, fast-moving environments. Experience in commodity, agribusiness, manufacturing, or supply chain-driven sectors is a plus.

Why you’ll love this role

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape the HR function in a start-up environment backed by a global organization. You’ll have the autonomy to design impactful people strategies, implement scalable processes, and influence company culture across a diverse, regional footprint. Working closely with a collaborative leadership team, you'll gain exposure to dynamic markets across Southeast Asia and Japan, while contributing to a purpose-driven business that values sustainability, innovation, and long-term impact.
