Senior AWS Principal Consultant - 6K- Insurance- CONTRACT

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AWS Principal Consultant – Cloud Data to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud data solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep hands-on AWS data engineering expertise with strong solution architecture, data governance, and stakeholder management capabilities.

This role focuses on designing scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms, including Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM), and Advanced Analytics solutions, with experience in the insurance industry considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise cloud data solutions on AWS.

• Design and implement scalable data platforms using Amazon S3, Redshift, Athena, AWS Glue, and Lambda.

• Develop and optimise large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines using PySpark.

• Architect Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, MDM, Advanced Analytics, and Data API platforms.

• Ensure data solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Define and implement data governance practices, data management standards, and MDM frameworks.

• Design API-based data integration solutions to support enterprise applications and analytics.

• Translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and actionable implementation plans.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-country delivery teams.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout solution design and delivery.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in AWS cloud data engineering and architecture.

• Hands-on expertise with Amazon S3, Redshift, Athena, AWS Glue, and Lambda.

• Strong hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines.

• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Data Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions.

• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data integration frameworks.

• Experience designing scalable and secure data platforms and API-based integration solutions.

• Strong understanding of data platform performance optimisation, scalability, and security.

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Experience working with geographically distributed or cross-country teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in the insurance industry.

• Relevant AWS certifications in cloud architecture, data engineering, or data analytics.

• Experience delivering enterprise data and analytics transformation initiatives.
