About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Executive, Finance Operations to support key finance operations activities, including financial close processes, distribution accounting, system enhancements, and financial controls. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with Finance, Distribution, Product Development, and Technology teams within a dynamic insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly financial close process in accordance with Group financial reporting and local regulatory reporting timelines, with primary coverage across distribution, health, and fixed asset-related activities.
  • Monitor daily batch runs from the Distribution Management System (DMS) and coordinate timely resolution of exceptions and issues.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly schedules, aging reports, and supporting documentation for the Distribution team.
  • Act as the Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product development initiatives and Day 2 system enhancement/change requests.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Support Services (DSS) and Distribution Performance Management (DPM) teams to ensure accurate and timely booking of transactions to the correct production period and insurance fund.
  • Support the governance and administration of End User Computing (EUC) controls within Finance Operations.
  • Assist in balance sheet substantiation, account reconciliation, and financial controls related to commission and distribution accounts.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies within Finance Operations.

Requirements

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance Operations, preferably within the life insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in insurance commission accounting and distribution cost booking will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with general ledger (GL) systems, policy administration systems, and finance operations processes.
  • Exposure to process automation and operational improvement tools such as Alteryx, PowerBuilder, AI solutions, or similar technologies will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Partially or fully qualified professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
