Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer

Argyll Scott is hiring a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer in Singapore on a 6 month contract, starting immediately. Japanese is a plus, as the mission works with IT teams in Japan.

You will join Argyll Scott as a consultant on a 6 month project with a global Japanese medical technology group: a global server security programme across around 2000 servers in 30 countries.

You will own the hands on rollout, working alongside the programme Project Manager, Architect and the IT teams in each country, with the autonomy to plan and run your own deployment waves.

What you will do

- Roll out Microsoft Defender for Servers across the Windows Server estate, wave by wave, with a smaller Linux footprint
- Retire the existing endpoint security agent in sequence, so protection never lapses during the switch
- Troubleshoot onboarding, connectivity, policy and agent issues through to closure
- Agree install windows directly with country IT teams across time zones
- Report progress with PowerShell and KQL evidence
- Write runbooks, support hypercare and hand the service over to the operations team

What we are looking for

- 8 years or more in infrastructure, server administration or security engineering
- Hands on deployment of Microsoft Defender or another endpoint security agent, such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Trellix or Trend Micro, across a large Windows server estate
- Strong Windows Server, practical Linux
- PowerShell, and KQL or a willingness to pick it up fast
- Fully independent, comfortable driving work with stakeholders in several countries
- Available to start immediately
- SentinelOne migration experience, Azure Arc and Japanese are a plus
- Security certifications such as Microsoft security, CISSP or Security Plus are a plus
