Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Senior Manager – Corporate Strategy to join their growing strategy function. This is a high-impact, in-house role with a leading insurance group, offering direct exposure to C-suite stakeholders and the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide strategic initiatives across the region.
Role Summary:
The Senior Manager will support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, working alongside the Group VP and cross-functional teams. This is a highly visible role with responsibilities ranging from strategy formulation to business planning and strategic project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of strategic plans, frameworks, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Lead workstreams on market research, competitor analysis, scenario planning, and benchmarking.
- Collaborate with business units to assess performance, identify challenges, and develop strategic responses.
- Assist in the preparation of Board materials, CEO updates, and other executive-level communications.
- Provide ad hoc strategic support and analysis to the VP and Chief Strategy Officer as required.
- Participate in annual planning, strategic reviews, and selected business planning/reporting tasks.
Requirements:
- 6–10 years of experience in corporate strategy, ideally from a top-tier consulting firm (Big 4, MBB) or an in-house strategy team within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to high-level strategic discussions.
- Solid commercial acumen and understanding of insurance products, markets, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and functions.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to annual business planning cycles, strategy reviews, or large-scale transformation programs.
- Prior experience supporting executive leaders or participating in executive committee discussions.
