About the Opportunity

The organization is strengthening its tax function and is seeking an experienced tax professional to take on a broad strategic role supporting business initiatives, corporate development activities, and cross-border projects.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior business and functional stakeholders, providing practical tax advice on complex projects while helping the organization manage tax risks and support its broader commercial objectives.
Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Strategic Tax will provide tax leadership and advisory support across a range of strategic business initiatives.
The role will cover tax matters associated with business expansion, investments, corporate reorganizations, new business activities, and other significant projects. The successful candidate will work across multiple markets and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
The position combines technical tax expertise with strong commercial and project-management capabilities and will require the ability to navigate complex issues, assess risk, and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Tax Advisory
- Provide tax advice on strategic business initiatives, investments, reorganizations, and other corporate projects.
- Assess tax implications and potential risks associated with proposed business activities and structures.
- Develop practical recommendations to manage tax exposures and support commercial objectives.
- Review relevant transaction and corporate documentation from a tax perspective.
- Support the implementation of agreed tax strategies and recommendations.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of key tax positions, assumptions, and risk considerations.
Corporate & Business Structuring
- Advise on tax considerations relating to new business activities and expansion initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of appropriate corporate and tax structures.
- Evaluate tax implications associated with business reorganizations, transfers, investments, and other corporate changes.
- Partner with Legal and Finance teams on structuring and implementation matters.
- Ensure tax considerations are appropriately incorporated into broader business decisions.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Lead multiple tax projects and workstreams across different markets.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external professional advisers.
- Translate complex technical tax matters into clear and commercially relevant recommendations.
- Present tax considerations and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor developments in relevant tax regulations and assess their potential business impact.
- Ensure projects are delivered effectively within agreed timelines and objectives.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant tax experience in an international, regional, professional services, or multinational environment.
- Strong background in strategic tax advisory, corporate tax, international tax, transaction-related tax, or restructuring.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and managing complex projects.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to evaluate tax risks and business implications.
- Ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to senior stakeholders and non-tax professionals.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and internationally focused environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent is preferred.
