Senior Manager – Infrastructure Cloud Platform

Location: Hong Kong

Our client is a prominent financial organization central to the region's banking ecosystem. Known for its high-availability systems and commitment to technological excellence, they are looking for a Senior Manager to lead their Private Cloud division. This role is critical for ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of a high-traffic financial platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Leadership: Direct the operational management of the group's private cloud platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of reliability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Team & Vendor Management: Oversee a core internal engineering team and external Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to develop, implement, and support mission-critical cloud infrastructure.
• Strategic Planning: Drive the roadmap for platform expansion, environment setups, and system "evergreening" in alignment with business growth and global technology trends.
• Operational Governance: Manage complex change windows, major upgrades, and disaster recovery drills. Ensure seamless coordination between vendors and internal business stakeholders.
• Expert Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical authority for high-level incident resolution and troubleshooting within a complex, multi-currency infrastructure environment.
• DevOps & Automation: Lead the implementation of DevOps/SysOps standards and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to optimize cloud service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Financial Stewardship: Oversee operational budgets, handle RFP/RFQ processes, and manage vendor contract renewals in compliance with corporate procurement policies.

Requirements

• Background: University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a Financial Institution environment, with at least 5 years at a Managerial level.
• Tech Stack Expertise: Strong experience in managing systems infrastructure including Virtualization, Storage, Networking, Containers, and Kubernetes (K8S).
• Automation Tools: Hands-on familiarity with DevOps automation tools(e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or GitHub Enterprise).
• Process Mastery: Deep knowledge of ITIL processes including Change, Incident, Problem, and Release management within a complex ecosystem.
• Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to present technical strategies to senior leadership.
• Languages: Fluency in Cantonese is a must. Excellent written and spoken English is required; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
