Technical Project Manager, Digital Delivery (Contract)

Company / Role Overview

A leading global organisation is seeking a Technical Project Manager to drive delivery across complex digital platforms, spanning front-end applications, APIs, and backend systems. This role sits within a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment and will be responsible for leading multiple Agile squads across distributed locations. The position requires a hands-on delivery mindset, working closely with both business and engineering stakeholders to ensure critical initiatives are executed and delivered to production within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery across 2–4 Agile squads, ensuring alignment to delivery plans and timelines
• Lead planning activities and track execution progress across multiple workstreams using Agile methodologies
• Proactively identify, manage, and resolve delivery risks, issues, and blockers to maintain momentum
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and QA teams to ensure effective coordination and delivery outcomes
• Own project reporting and provide clear, data-driven updates using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Engage with both business and technical stakeholders to align expectations and communicate progress
• Ensure delivery milestones are met and support the successful release of business-critical initiatives to production
• Operate effectively in a dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements

Job Requirements

Must-Have:

• Proven experience managing software delivery projects across digital platforms (front-end, APIs, backend systems)
• Strong experience working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of Agile processes and delivery practices
• Experience managing multiple distributed teams across locations and coordinating cross-functional squads
• Hands-on experience using JIRA and Confluence for delivery tracking, reporting, and planning
• Demonstrated ability to proactively drive delivery, resolve blockers, and ensure teams meet commitments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, less structured environments with evolving priorities
• Typically 10+ years of relevant project management experience (flexible based on demonstrated capability)

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working in scaled Agile environments across multiple squads
• Prior exposure to complex enterprise or customer-facing digital transformation initiatives
• Domain experience within financial services or similar regulated industries
