Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain operational stability for front-office business applications through daily monitoring and task execution.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives for monitoring, stability, resiliency, and capacity in APAC Prime Services systems.
  • Enhance and maintain monitoring tools; automate repetitive tasks to boost operational efficiency.
  • Conduct morning and weekend readiness checks in collaboration with global teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including trading desk leads and technology managers, to align support activities with business needs.

Service Implementation and Management

  • Support the rollout and ongoing management of new services.
  • Plan and execute production environment changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate incidents.

Incident Management

  • Serve as the first point of contact for incident queries and escalations.
  • Lead major incident responses, facilitate bridge calls, manage investigations, and coordinate internal communications.
  • Produce post-incident reviews, conduct follow-up meetings, and assign corrective tasks.
  • Document known issues and workarounds on internal knowledge bases (e.g., Wiki).

Global Collaboration

  • Partner with global teams to resolve issues in a 'follow-the-sun' support model.
  • Participate in annual disaster recovery drills.
  • Collaborate across shifts and provide on-call coverage as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Domain Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Management framework.
  • Proficient in UNIX/Linux OS, SQL, and Shell scripting.
  • Experience in supporting Linux and Windows-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Autosys, ITRS Geneos, and Dynatrace.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology.

Communication & Problem Solving

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of handling pressure and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

  • Proactive, dependable, and a self-driven team player.
  • Comfortable with complexity and adaptable to change.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to navigate organizational structures effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of APAC equities markets and prime brokerage business.
  • Technical experience with Java, Kafka, Python, and Kubernetes.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Investment Banking application support or securities trading, with relevant development and support exposure.
